PhD student -  International Clinical and Health Services Research (ICHSR)

Andréa is a PhD student and early-career researcher from South Africa. She trained as an Occupational Therapist at the University of Cape Town before obtaining a master’s degree in Public Health from Lund University in Sweden. Her work has focused on health economics and impact evaluations for healthcare services, specifically within primary healthcare systems in Southern Africa. She is interested in health systems research, community-based models of care, and health policy and planning to address the infectious and non-communicable disease burden in Africa.
